Workshop: Knitting With Texture

The last few winter seasons have seen a huge resurgence of traditional techniques within knitted garments and patterns. Cable, twist and texture stitches are the key to creating these fabrics and this workshop looks into this. How these cable patterns are worked and how they are balanced with other texture patterns is explained during the day. As these patterns tend to be published with the use of a chart, how to read charts is also looked at during this workshop. The workshop is suitable for those who have never worked cables before, as well as those who would like to explore the techniques further. To get the most out of it you should already have attended the Learn to Knit workshop or be able to cast on, knit and purl.
The cost of the workshop includes DK yarn, a cable needle, full tuition and light refreshments (bring your own lunch).
