Workshop: Tunisian Crochet for Beginner’s

Tunisian crochet, also known as Afghan crochet, is a type of crochet that uses an elongated hook, often with a stopper on the handle end, called an Afghan hook. It is sometimes considered to be a mixture of crocheting and knitting and is a very versatile technique.  It can be a little tricky to get to grips with the technique and this workshop gives a taster and some tips to get started.  During this workshop you will be shown the following; how to pick up the initial chains, some simple Tunisian stitches such as Knit and Purl stitches.

What I need to bring: 6mm Tunisian crochet hook

Level:  ***  Experienced:  Proficient crocheters who can follow crochet patterns.  Someone who has a lot of experience with regular crochet and is confidently competent at regular crochet would fair well on this course.
